1) Orchestrate integration projects and corresponding strategies between departments and development teams.2) Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the hospital.3) Ensure that integration projects meet hospital requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.4) Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.5) Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.6) Collaborate with departments and practices in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.7) Lead integration testing phase of software and applications under testing in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.8) Liaise with vendors and hospital staff to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software.9) Build relationships with software vendors to gain an understanding of application architectures and required functionality.10) Ensure the collection and coherent interpretation of the various hospital processes affected by integration efforts.11) Work diligently to enhance or improve hospital processes via integration or as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.12) Evaluate results of integration projects, then report and make recommendations based on findings.13) Where applicable, investigate and qualify potential areas in which to introduce Web services.14) Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of application software problems for end users; recommend and implement corrective solutions.15) Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding application software problems.16) Strong technical ability to develop, manage, extract and distribute custom reporting, using tools; Meditech NPR, Microsoft SQL.17) Serve as a knowledge and reporting resource for various reporting initiatives, including but not limited to Meaningful Use and PQRS.18) Maintain compliance with HIPAA and PCI. Complete risk assessments as required on IT systems. Monitoring for threats in the environment and recommend/implement remediation.19) HL7 knowledge and understanding beyond basic level; i.e. can compare specifications and manage gaps. 20) Performs other duties as requested.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration. Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements. Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills. Outstanding writing and documentation skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Education: College Diploma or University Degree in Field of Computer Science and/or, 3 years equivalent work experience required. Experience: Two years direct experience in enterprise-level HCIS application integration. Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development and data mapping. Extensive experience with core software applications, including LSS Practice Management software and MEDITECH Client Server 5.6 or greater. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Certification/Licensure: None.Code Blue Training: Ability to activate Code Blue system by dialing 200.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: PHYSICAL DEMANDS May require constant sitting. Requires occasional standing and walking. Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs. May require pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs. Eye hand coordination, and finger and manual dexterity are required. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires occasional bending, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Ability to use office equipment such as computer workstation, printers, telephones, copier, and fax machine. Repetitive movements involved in keyboard entry are required.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION: WORKING CONDITIONS Work is scheduled predominately during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Overtime, evenings, weekend and holiday work may be required for continued operation of department. Some travel may be required for the purpose of offsite software and system integration efforts.
